What makes our body butters different from lotion?
Our butters are different because they're made with love. Shea butter is typically a thick butter-like consistency, but at Butter Love we whip them into shape to create a whipped shea butter consistency. It is then mixed with coconut oil that contains skin repairing essentials. Plus - they smell amazing!!
How long does a jar of your butter last?
That really depends on how religiously you use it. I personally use up a jar of butter in about 3-4 weeks because I suffer from severe dry skin, but yours could last up to two months.
How long has Butter Love been around?
Butter Love was established in 2014, so it has been about 9 years since I started my journey.
Do you have your own store front?

Can my order be gift wrapped?
No, but each package is assembled with love and you can request for the receipt to not be included.
Who tests your products?
I test my own products and I allow a group of my trusted friends to try them out. I know that they will give me honest feedback. We try to stay out of labs because we believe in cruelty free products. All of our products are made with love.
Are all of your products safe to use on babies?
Yes, all Butter Love products are safe to use on babies. Please supervise them though, our products shouldn’t be consumed by mouth. (They are natural oils, salts, and plants though so they shouldn’t need to go to the hospital if they do accidentally eat our products)
What can I do if my product is grainy?
When it comes to grainy body butter, that’s what makes shea butter unique. We source our shea butter from Ghana and we try our hardest to make our butters as smooth and creamy as possible. In the winter time it is a different texture which causes inefficient emulsification. If you rub it in, it will still melt into the skin smoothly.
Do you have a rewards program?
We do not currently have a rewards program, but we understand how much you love Butter Love and how much it sucks when you run out! We will have something in the future. Stay tuned.
Do you have any workshops and where can I find that information?
We are currently not conducting workshops, but keep a lookout.
What can I do if my body butter melted during shipping?
Our body butters are heat-sensitive and have a melting point of 83 - 88 degrees. Avoid leaving packages in mailboxes or outside in warm weather. If melting occurs, give it a quick visit to the fridge for 30 minutes. It may change texture, but trust us, it’s still buttery goodness!

What’s your return policy?
If you wish to return your item(s), you have 30 days to do so and will receive credit on the card that you used to place your order. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. We only accept returns from products purchased on butterlovebylc.co. Returns do require proof of purchase. Please email us at Hello@butterlovebylc.co to get the process started.
If I needed a product ASAP, could I buy it directly from you and pick it up?
You could stop at one of our locations, or we ship priority so it would be one to two days.
Can I make changes to an order that I already placed?
Unfortunately once an order is placed we cannot alter it.
What can I do if my product melted during shipping?
Sometimes butter melts, but we can't cry over spilled milk! If your butter melts in the mail while in route, while it does lose its whipped consistency it doesn't lose any of the benefits.
